What other candy do you make?
Kenny’s Candy Company only makes licorice and licorice type candy. We make a full range of licorice and licorice type products (Twists, Bites, Hunks, Laces, Sours, Centers, Straws, Logs, Panned and some Shapes). However, all of them are licorice and licorice type products.
What is the difference between a "standard" and a "jumbo" twist?
A "standard" twist is approximately 3/8" in diameter and a "jumbo" twist is approximately 5/8" in diameter. If we do not mention a twist size, it is a standard size twist. Diameter will vary.
Is Kenny’s Candy Company willing to add new flavors?
Yes. If the opportunity is right, we are definitely willing to listen to new ideas and entertain adding new flavors.
What types of certifications does Kenny’s Candy Company have?
Kenny’s Candy Company is AIB certified (with an excellent rating), OU Kosher Pareve certified and ICS Farm Verified Organic certified.
How do you read the code dates on the bags and cases?
On all our Kenny’s Candy Company brands, we use a 6-digit open code date that reads MM/DD/YY. Example, January 15, 2007 would read as 011507.
What does the code date mean and/or represent?
The 6-digit open code date represents a "best if sold by" date and the date that Kenny’s Candy Company recommends the distributors and/or retailers pull our items off their shelves. The code date represents a day 8 months after the day the product is produced. Example, product produced on January 15, 2007 would have a code date printed on it of 091507.
If I eat Kenny’s Candy Company product that is past code date, will I get sick?
No. Over time because of the sugar content in our products our products will get firm or hard. We feel at 8-months our product is no longer soft enough to have a nice chew and that is why we recommend it being pulled off the shelves.
Do your products contain gluten?
Yes. All Kenny's products contain wheat flour, so all of our products will contain gluten.
Could your products be eaten by vegetarians?
Yes. Due to our Kosher Pareve status, our ingredients cannot be derived from animal sources.
What is Kenny’s Candy Company shipping policy?
Kenny’s Candy Company will not ship Kenny’s Candy Company brand product from its warehouse that is 4-months old or older. Kenny's Candy ships all products on 40" x 48" 4-way GMA pallets. Kenny's Candy does not floor load product, does not use CHEP or CPC pallets or use slip sheets.
Does Kenny’s Candy Company extend credit to customers?
Domestically Kenny’s Candy Company offers terms (1% 15 Days, Net 30 Days) to customers that we approve credit for. Each customer needs to submit a credit application to Kenny’s Candy Company and if all the references check out, then we extend credit.
With International customers, Kenny’s Candy does not extend credit or terms. International customers either need to pre-pay (cash-in-advance) or set up a Stand-By Irrevocable Letter-of-Credit with Kenny’s Candy Company that is approved by Kenny’s Candy Company and its financial institution.
Does Kenny’s Candy Company “Guarantee Sale” its products to customers?
Kenny’s Candy Company will honor requests when warranty and/or product quality issues occur. However, Kenny’s Candy Company does not guarantee the sale of Kenny’s Candy Company brand or bulk products to its customers.
Does Kenny’s Candy Company have a “Combined Minimum Order Quantity” to ship stock product to customers?

Does Kenny’s Candy Company have a “Production Minimum Order Quantity” in regards to new items and/or Private Label items?
Yes. Kenny’s Candy Company has a 3,000 lb. per item production minimum order quantity to produce any item. This is the minimum run we can do and still remain efficient in the manufacturing process.
Does Kenny’s Candy Company help private label customers with film and packaging design?
Yes. Kenny’s Candy Company has an in-house graphics department that we make available to our private label customers to assist in their design needs.
How does Kenny’s Candy Company normally ship product?
Kenny’s Candy Company uses a combination of LTL and full load carriers to ship product across the continental U.S. and Canada. When Kenny’s Candy Company ships product to customers “Pre-paid”, Kenny’s Candy Company will ship the product the most cost effective way to Kenny’s Candy Company.
What is Kenny’s Candy Company’s order lead-time? (domestic)
14 working days PLUS transit time to your warehouse location as long as your account is in good standing at the time the order is placed. Depending on your delivery location and your delivery appointment requirments, this generally means that you will receive your order from Kenny's Candy 17 - 21 working days AFTER Kenny's Candy receives your order in good standing.
Is Kenny’s Candy Company EDI capable?
Yes. We currently transmit information with a number of customers via EDI.
Does Kenny’s Candy Company have company salespeople or do they just use brokers?
Kenny’s Candy Company uses both company salespeople and brokers to work with our customers across the country and internationally.
Does Kenny’s Candy Company conduct tours of its facilities for the public?
Unfortunately, at this time we do not.
What is Kenny's Candy Company's policy on product donations?
Kenny's Candy Company donates product to local organizations and with organizations that our employees are directly involved with.
